Paris

Hi all, againg, i really have cought my crafting bug again. phew. i decieved to have a look back at the scrapbook layouts i had missed so i am going to catch up as im wanting to have my first scrap book filled with just the pages i have done from the group on craftbubble. that way i can see if i have improved over the year lol. well i have done a few pages already as you can see below, so it was aprils challenge which was to include some hidden journaling or pictures, i chose to have some hidden pictures as i havent got the knack of journaling yet lol so i had a good rumage through my photographes and stash and came up with this lol
as you can see its yet more pictures from disneyland, this was taken sept 06. this was my first time going to disneyland but it was the second time i had been to paris on a school trip lol. ive kept the rest of the layout quite plain so that nothing gets masked by the other photographes.
and heres where they are hidden. in a flap under the origonal photograph. the pictures are of all my classmates that were on the trip and the second is of me and my pal abu. the guy seen me going to take a picture of him and he just walked up nd put his arm round, lets just say i threw my camera at my friend like it was on fire, cracking picture, fab memories!
I hope you like

For this weeks challenge i have used my Scottish lofty stamp and gave him a nice grey kilt. the background papers are all from the new papermania collection "it's a mans world" and the buttons are also papermania. For the sentiment I have used a navy blue peeloff to tye in with the blue theme with the papers and buttons.

Passion for Promarkers

Good Morning all, heres my entry for this weeks challenge. No colour theme this week, but the theme is spring with an animal. well did I not have the perfect stamp and papers for the job.
This stamp is from wild rose studio which i got at the secc craft fair, as soon as a seen it it reminded me straight away of my puppy cheri
For the puppy i used burnt orange and tan for her fur and tulip yellow and leaf green for the tulips.

I love Promarkers

Hello all!
Heres my challenge entry for this week. This weeks theme was to use no backing papers! That was hard lol. So what I have done is I have embossed cupcake designs and used pink and purple embossing powder to tie in with the rest of the card.
I have used one of my birthday D&D stamps and coloured him in black for his coat, cocktail pink for his party hat and purple for the patch on his tummy

LGS 13th March

Good Evening all, well i have had such a busy weekend that ive only just got the photograph taken for this weeks sketch.
This weekend was the first weekend ive been off from work on challenge day but i couldnt get crafting as i was in Edinburgh at my boyfriends as we were going to see the Scotland v England game at Murrayfield on saturday evening and then it was my sisters 18th on sunday as well as being mothers day.
Anyway i managed to get my card done yesterday... so here it is.
This weeks theme was our favourite things, so with paddys day being tomorow i thought this little guy would be perfect. One of my favourite holidays was to Dublin a few years back, just my mum and I. The light on my camera hasen't picked up my brads properly, they are gold to match the pennies in his pot of gold.

Well ive just to take a picture of my next card so i shall be back in a moment lol

A Scrappy Day

Hi all, Ive had a very practical day today, i had to wait on a guy comming to upgrade our electricity meter so i had the whole morning to sit arround and do nuthing lol so.... I cought up with some scrapbooking. I finished off this layout for the Scrap Addicts group on craft bubble. As an added extra for this months challenge we had an extra black and white theme so i made a page for my pups 1st birthday =)

My second layout i done today was for Marchs layout on the same group. This months there was no theme just the layout, so i got to go wild lol. I have just recieved my new stash from qvc so i got to rip it open and have a play and this is what i came up with lol. I found lots of baby pictures of myself in my photo box so i thought they would be perfect and heres the final result.

And my final layout that i done was just me playing about. When i was looking for my pictures for my march layout i came accross lots of pictures from when i went to paris with my school when i was in 5th year. We spent the week doing all the site seeing and shopping you could imagine ...and spent the whole day in disneyland! well here it is

Passion For Promarkers

Here is my entry for this weeks challenge. The theme for this week was Tulip Yellow, Baby Pink and had to have stitching in it. As soon as i seen the colours i jumped up and down as i had the perfect image for it.... then i seen the stitching element. ive never done it before and i dont have a pokey tool so i couldnt pierce the card so i improvised... i have to say im not that impressed with it, but here it is

Monday Mania

Here is my entry for this weeks Monday Mania, this weeks theme was monochrome with a twist, the twist being you could use any colour, i chose to use shades of browns to give a sepia feel. Firstly I stamped and coloured my Stella stamp in browns and then cut her out and stucker her to a vintage brown paperstock from K&Co then finnished off with the "sweet" sentiment in the same brown ink as the image, and then some blobs of copper glitter glue

I coloured the image with promarkers... i still havent perfected the shadding yet lol, then just added the sentement and a few blobs of red glitter glue et voila!

LGS 6th Feb

Well here is my entry for this weeks sketch, not my best, was alot harder then i thought it would be. I think my cards still look a little basic, i am trying to hang off till the secc craft fair to see it i can get some embossing folders and embelishments on the cheep lol but its not till the first week in march! argh!!! This weeks twist was wings, hense the angel theme. The stamp has been embosed with jet black powder and then mounted onto my base card

I have also made this card for my sister to give to her photographer as a thanks for the photos shes gave her for her folio. Im not involved in anymore shoots which im gutted about lol as i loved doing the shoot out at Glasgow Uni (my display picture) which was 1930's glamour. Her next shoot is on sunday which is a vintage underwear shoot, she managed to find a model that would do it for her and found the basque etc for the shoot, her final shoot next wednesday is vintage ballroom, so shes got one of our friends to do this one so she will have her hair in a fancy up do and shes got a full lenght evening gown, very art deco looking.
Anyway about the card, i have just stamped the images onto the card then gave the words a halo with my promarkers then went over the lines of the wings with diamond stickles. I think this makes the card look alot softer then the one above even though the same stamps were used.

I shall no doubt be back on later or tomorow morning as Graeme has asked me to make his dad a birthday card and an aniversary card eek! I have found the perfect stamp for the aniversary card but have no clue what to do for his birthday card lol, this should be fun lol

Hello and welcome

Hi all and welcome to my blog. This is my first posting so I thought I would take some time to tell you a bit about me and what I do. I' curently at university doing a maths degree so my crafting is a welcome distraction from number crunching. I first took up cross stitching as a kid at school but only got back into it during the summer of 2009, since then I have joined the online crafting comunity through craftbubble (link below) and i have attendend a craft fair which got me involved in card making, and more recently scrapbooking. I will post my pictures of my cards that I have made so far this year. My new years resolution this year is to do more for charity so I am making cards for DoCrafts Craft for Life campain in aid of Cancer research.

Anyway speak soon
